Ceramic Bowl X-Large with palm tree

£200
30 years ago, Evelyne Porret (Swiss Ceramist) and Michel Pastore founded a pottery school for the children of the oasis of Fayoum in Egypt. In this very earthed structured village, each student had their own turntable to create their motifs and design. The techniques used today are very similar to the ones of islamic ceramic art at a very highest level of knowledge before disappearing ...
The students that were once welcomed as children have now become the pottery masters and are teaching the next generation.
The art reflects a blend of oriental and occidental influences, widely exhibited in Europe, at art galleries, private collections and museums.
